Project construction is in full swing beginning at the intersection of Brommer and 17th Avenue. The Contractor has begun trench excavation at the intersection of Brommer and will be heading North towards Harper Street. There is currently one lane, two way traffic control on the northbound lane of 17th Avenue.
The Brommer intersection is flashing red, and there are four flaggers in place to assist traffic through the intersection. Three of the flaggers are stationed at the Brommer intersection, and the fourth flagger is stationed north of the work zone in the southbound 17th Avenue lane.
Bicyclists will be sharing the road with vehicles through the traffic controlled lanes. Pedestrians will be directed through the intersection by the flaggers. We ask that all pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles follow the instructions of the traffic control flaggers for everyone's safety.
The intersection of Brommer and 17th will be affected during working hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm over the next couple weeks. We highly recommend using the alternate detour routes around 17th Avenue when possible.
